Anger has once again been voiced in north Tipperary after a fresh incident of illegal dumping at Knockanroe Carpark. The latest discovery, reported on social media on 30th December 2025, involved a pile of household rubbish that appeared to have been left scattered across the car park.

Locals were dismayed to find the popular amenity, used by walkers, families, and visitors, once again targeted by irresponsible dumping.

The site had previously seen painting and decorating waste dumped in December 2025, and the latest incident suggests a disturbing pattern.

One social media user voiced the community’s frustration: “It’s gone a disgrace up there. Surley it would be cheaper to put in cameras than the clean-up itself. A few weeks ago there was around 100 paint cans and buckets dumped up there. The place is getting destroyed up there.”

Other local residents highlighted that such incidents often go unreported, and stressed the importance of alerting Tipperary County Council whenever fly tipping occurs so that it can be addressed promptly.

Knockanroe Carpark remains an important recreational space, especially during holiday periods, and the new incident has renewed calls for greater public responsibility and action to protect the area from further damage.
